Jose A. Porras

I studied and graduated with honors with a major in Biology. I worked for many years at the Miami Dade Health Department as a Heath Service Representative for the Refugee program and Epidemiology Department. I was fortunate enough to work with great doctors who inspire me to continue my studies in medicine. I realized that medicine was my passion, and I took a dive into medicine to improve other people’s health. I graduated from Miami Dade Community College with honors from the Physical Assistant Bachelor’s program in 2011 and I continue my studies at the university of science, Arts and Technology (Montserrat Island part of British Overseas Territory) to complete my medical Doctor degree. I am familiar with geriatric patients as well general adult primary care after working for 12 years in the West Palm Beach and Miami area. A great day at work for me is when I help my patients achieve their health goals. “Ultimately, it’s not about the quantity but rather the quality of the care I love to provide”.
